Isang Bata is an independent effort of Ime Aznar in partnership with Akap Bata Sectoral Organization, under its Early Childhood Care and Development Program. The program focuses on curriculum and materials development, training, repairs and maintenance of day care centers, and nutrition. Other people have also volunteered to help with the projects. Isang Bata aims to come up with regular programs that address different aspects of child development like nutrition, education, health, etc. For its initial project, Isang Bata conceived a simple back to school program for the poor preschool children of Sikatvill, Muntinlupa. The project involves providing the kids with supplies and other school and personal needs, as well as feeding them healthy and nutritious snacks every day for at least one month, or even longer (depending on collected cash donations).
